It is also close to the picturesque village of Casares, a magical place with narrow streets of traditional white-washed houses which are dotted with a riot of colourful flowers! The accommodation itself boasts three good sized double bedrooms, all with ensuite bathrooms, and a cloakroom. Large living/dining area, which leads to a spacious terrace complete with seating and a table and chairs for eight people for al fresco dining. The balcony overlooks the pool, all of which makes this apartment ideal for both families, and golfing enthusiasts, with many good quality golf courses, including the world famous Valderrama Golf Course, which is just a short drive away. Supermarkets, e.g. Carrefour Hypermarket, are found in Estepona, just a mere 10-15 minutes drive away, and more local shops, restaurants and bars are situated in nearby Duquesa Port. The Costa del Sol/Malaga region The remarkable climate of the Costa Del Sol offers an average of 320 days of sunshine a year, and as a result, the Costa Del Sol has over the years become a favourite holiday destination for many people from all over Europe, but despite the coast's huge popularity, the coastal area between Estepona and Gibraltar are still relatively unspoilt, with access to safe sandy beaches. It is still possible to escape the large crowds that flock to the popular beaches further east, even in high season of July and August. The attractions of the 'Costa' are many and varied, from the historical villages of Casares, Castellar and Ronda, to the many new and established golf courses that are situated within easy reach. Although the Apartment itself is situated within a quiet and peaceful complex, the livelier resorts of Puerto Banus, Marbella, Estepona and Duquesa, are all within easy reach by car or taxi. The cosmopolitan town of Marbella is only 20 minutes away with its huge variety of restaurants, bars and shops. Closer still is the quieter town of Estepona, with its attractive enclosed port area, perfect for a stroll admiring the many yachts and luxury cruisers. Enjoy a casual lunch or a drink accompanied by tapas at one of the many restaurants and bars. For those who prefer to experience the historical side of the Costas, the ancient village of Castellar de la Frontera is well worth a visit, as is the magnificently positioned town of Ronda which is to be found to the north of Puerto Banus.
