This newly built, modern 2 bedroom 1 bathroom apartment is furnished to a very high standard and includes air conditioning and central heating. It is fully equipped with everything you could want to make your stay relaxing (see accommodation details).
The apartment?s covered terrace overlooks 2 large swimming pools with toddler pool and play area and the resort boasts a further 12 communal pools for you to choose from. The apartment has its own allocated underground car parking space to keep your car cool in summer and there is plenty of outside car parking space too. There is a courtesy shuttle bus service to the other Polaris World Resorts where you may use all the facilities available.
The apartment is only a short walk from the supermarket which stocks everything you will need including a good range of English products. It is also a great place to go for coffee and cake or hot pasty. Nearby is the Health and Beauty shop and reasonably priced hairdressers.
The waterside ?Town Centre? of the resort boasts a variety of shops, restaurants and bars including La Encine Restaurant, Trattoria Acacia Italian Restaurant, Limonero Restaurant, Clover Irish Sports Bar, El Roble Tapas Bar, Wood House Bar and Coffee Lounge, Pino?s Bar and there are more opening soon. The Golf Clubhouse is exceptionally well furnished and maintained and very welcoming for both lunchtime and evening drinks and bar snacks. Evening entertainment can be found in Pino?s Bar and the pool tables are also popular. Internet access is provided at the Golf Club.
You will also find tennis courts and children?s playgrounds as well as plenty of seating next to water features/fountains and planting throughout the site. The cleanliness of La Torre is exemplary with plenty of outdoor ?environmentally friendly? metal bins with chutes going directly underground for waste disposal. Equally, security is of a very high standard with intercom entry to the apartment staircases/lifts. 24 hour security at the barriered entrance/exit to the resort ensures a trouble free stay.
Accommodation Details
All rooms have shutters to windows/doors for added security and for full or partial light extraction. The large lounge patio doors have electrically operated shutters.
Bedroom 1:
Twin beds, built in double wardrobe and drawers with fitted safe, bedside cabinet and lamp. Ceiling fan and central light. French doors lead to the terrace overlooking the swimming pools and garden area.
Bedroom 2:
Twin beds which can be zipped together to make a superking sized bed ? please advise sleeping requirements at time of booking. Under bed storage. Built in double wardrobe and drawers. Shoe/accessories cabinet with mirror over. Ceiling fan and central light. French doors lead to balcony overlooking a large cascading fountain and palm trees.
Bathroom:
Fully tiled family bathroom ? bath with shower over, w/c, bidet, hand basin with towel storage underneath, heated towel radiator. Hairdryer.
Kitchen:
Modern fully fitted kitchen with electric oven and hob, extractor, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster, knife block, cutlery, crockery, glassware, saucepans/frying pan, utensils, and iron.
Utility:
Washing machine, drying rack, ironing board and vacuum cleaner. Boiler.
Lounge/ Dining:
Open plan lounge dining room with black leather sofa, 2 comfy black leather tub chairs, and glass topped dining table with four cream leather chairs. Extra channels such as Sky News, ITV, BBC, C Beebies, etc. can be found on the 32? LCD flat screen TV; DVD player. Plenty of lighting options. Coffee table, lamp table, display unit and full length mirror for your added comfort. Air conditioning. Internal telephone to other accommodation within the resort and to Polaris World services on site.
Terrace:
Tiled terrace adjoining lounge and bedroom 1 overlooking pools and garden area. Large glass topped patio table and parasol with four reclining chairs. Outside lighting and electric socket.
Cleaning/towels/linen:
All linen, towels/tea towels are included. You will also find 4 coloured towels for pool/beach use. The property is prepared for your arrival and cleaned at the end of your stay at a cost of 50 euros, payable on arrival.

Booking notes
A ?100 non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking. The balance, plus a breakages deposit of ?150, will be required 6 weeks prior to your stay. As soon as the keyholders notify us that the apartment is undamaged we will refund your deposit (approx. 2 weeks after your stay). Accidents do sometimes happen and we will operate a fair policy ? honesty really is the best policy.
Golf
Polaris World La Torre 18 hole golf course is in excellent condition and kept to a very high standard. It offers a great game of golf for everyone from the beginner to the more advanced golfer. The 18 hole golf course designed by Jack Nicklaus is 5350m in total and is a Par 68 with three beautiful lakes and plenty of bunkers to make a very challenging round. The first class golf facilities include a driving range and superb club house. Golf carts and clubs can be hired and a refreshment buggie will come round during your game of golf. Tuition is also available. There is an exclusive pro shop where you can purchase a wide range of golf equipment and accessories from clubs to the latest designs in sportswear. The Wood House bar is ideal for a drink or snack before or after a game of golf and has seating both inside and out, with stunning views across the golf course and the La Torre resort. Five minutes away heading towards the coast is a large golf superstore.
For golf enthusiasts the Costa Calida region offers many other golf courses including the world famous La Manga Club, Roda, La Serena, Hacienda Del Alamo, La Finca, Altorreal, Mosa Trajectum, Las Ramblas, Villa Martin and Campoamor - most within a 30 minute drive.
Coast/Beaches and other local Amenities
The setting that surrounds La Torre Golf Resort is incomparable, with a magnificent golf course and the sea only 15 minutes away. The region boasts over 300 sunny days annually with an annual average temperature of 21?C, (12?C in winter and 25?C in summer), plus 250 km of shoreline over 2 seas, the Minor and the Mediterranean! It is a land of contrasts, with a landscape that is the home of high mountain natural parks, and wonderful beaches such as those of La Manga, Mazarr?n and Calblanque.
La Torre is a part of the ?Minor Sea Shores? complex, a privileged area that brings together all Polaris World resorts within a radius of a few kilometres. This way residents and visitors can enjoy the entire range of complex services, together with access to the region?s most important cities such as Murcia and Cartagena.
The beautiful Mar Menor beaches of white sand with their warm, shallow and calm waters belong to Europe?s largest inland lagoon. With the absence of tides, this makes it an excellent location for all adults and children. Beaches are cleaned every day and the nearest is Santiago de la Ribera, a pretty Spanish seaside town with wonderful tapas and fish restaurants along the promenade.
There are many other local towns and villages nearby, the nearest being Roldan which is only 5 minutes away. Another favourite with visitors is the old and new town of Los Alcazares which has an abundance of very nice restaurants and is only 15 minutes from La Torre and right next to the beach. A little further along is San Pedro del Pinetar with its beaches, shopping, restaurants, and market on Mondays. There is also a large shopping mall, Dos Mares, which is on the outskirts of San Pedro del Pinetar.
Cabo de Palos is a fishing village with lots of beautiful restaurants all overlooking the sea. At approx 10 pm you can see the fishing boats preparing to go out and get their catch. Cabo de Palos also has a very good Sunday market; it will take you approx 30 minutes to get there but it is very worthwhile visit.
The city of Murcia is only 20 mins drive away. It is steeped in history with a largely pedestrianised maze of narrow streets and squares punctuated by elegant buildings and churches and a magnificent baroque cathedral. Murcia has plenty of restaurants and coffee shops to tempt you, as well as being a fantastic shopping opportunity.
The world famous La Manga strip with its beaches on both the Mediterranean and the Mar Menor is approx 30 - 40 minutes drive away. Water theme parks can be found at Murcia (20 mins drive), Torrevieja (30mins), Alicante?s Aqualandia is 1 hr and Benidorm is approx 1.5 hrs drive.
The main motorway links in the area mean that all of the Spanish coastal resorts are easily accessible for day trips from this central base, Skiing at Granada can also be enjoyed albeit a 3 hour drive to the ski area of Sierra Nevada.
How to Get To La Torre Golf Resort
Travel to the Murcia region is very easy with low-cost airlines flying into Murcia ?San Javier (MJV ? 15 mins) and Alicante (ALC ? 45 mins)
